Transdiaspora Network to Host Sizzling End-of-Summer
Caribbean Dance Party

NEW YORK, New York (July 16, 2008) Transdiaspora Network
(TDN) invites you to party for a good cause at the hottest end-of-summer dance party
in New York. On August 27, from 8 PM to 1 AM, DJ Medina will be spinning Cuban
music, Merengue, Bachata, Soukous, Soca, Bomba, Plena, Reggae, Calypso, Brazilian
music, and much more at Manhattan's swank Boucarou Lounge. The party is open to the
public with a suggested minimum donation of $10. All proceeds collected at the door
will directly fund TDN's groundbreaking HIV prevention programs for at-risk youth.

DJ Medina (www.djmedina.com) has spun at private parties, lounges, and clubs as far
away as Australia and Brazil. These include SOB's, Cielo, Crash Mansion, Il Pirata,
and El Rincon in San Francisco, Bembe in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Baraza in the Lower
East Side, Bar de Praia in Bahia, Brazil, and Cafe de la Salsa in Sydney.

Boucarou Lounge (www.boucaroulounge.com) is located at 64 E 1st Street in
Manhattan. Named for a half-open, half-sheltered backyard hut in Cameroon where
family and friends gather to enjoy good food, drink, and conversation, this East
Village hot spot recreates this convivial vibe with a retractable roof, making it
the ideal venue for a sizzling, end-of-summer dance party.

Transdiaspora Network
is an innovative non-profit organization dedicated to developing culturally relevant
HIV education and prevention initiatives for Caribbean-American youth in Brooklyn, a
population at high risk for infection but underserved by mainstream prevention
initiatives. TDN programs will facilitate identification of community resources,
empowerment-based interventions, and educational approaches to increase health
literacy.
